Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Items Analyst to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As an Items Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring inventory sufficiency with respect to mission requirements throughout the life cycle of supported systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin and customer placement to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to meet marketing and financial objectives.
  • Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions.
  • Build relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives.
  • Integrate learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
  • Maintain accountability, inventory control, and reporting requirements for all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) / parts stored at various CSSA locations.
  • Interface with U.S. Army and/or other contracting civilian personnel for exchange of serviceable and unserviceable assets.
  • Track and expedite material shipments needed for maintaining proper inventory levels, stock control, and total customer support.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word).
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Capable of lifting 35 lbs.
  • Ability to review data and statuses and derive trends.
  • Ability to prepare and accomplish presentations.
Desired Skills
  • A high degree of Information Technology skills to allow development of minor software routines to perform data compilation for trends analysis, graphical presentations, and reports generation.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional IPT environment.
  • Experience using MS Excel.
  • Ability to read reports and interpret data.
  • Experience interacting with management and customers.
