Power Components Engineer

Join SpaceX as an Electromechanical Systems Designer and contribute to the development of cutting-edge power components for our Starship program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and qualifying high-voltage batteries, traction inverters, power generation, and power distribution systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electromechanical systems for power generation and distribution
- Analyze thermal, structural, dynamic, and tolerance requirements for electro-mechanical assemblies
- Participate in initial mechanical design, 3D modeling, and creation of production drawings and design data maintenance
- Interface with machine shops and production teams to ensure final designs can be produced in accordance with overall project goals
- Own the hardware delivery timeline and success through inception, design, assembly, test, and integration
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, math, engineering, or scientific discipline
- 2+ years of professional experience with mechanical/electromechanical hardware design and analysis
- Strong first-principles understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical design, prototyping, testing, and/or precision mechanical assembly
