Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and patient care tasks.
  • Perform vital signs, clinical care quality measures, and medical history documentation.
  • Manage patient flow, maintain inventory, and order supplies as needed.
  • Interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience in a physician office or healthcare setting preferred.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check.
