Counselor Supervisor Job Description

Job Summary:

The Counselor Supervisor will oversee the delivery of counseling services to patients, ensuring timely and effective treatment plans are implemented. This role requires strong clinical supervision, staff management, and quality assurance skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise counselors and counselor interns to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients
  • Manage staff performance, including performance improvement discussions and evaluations
  • Facilitate employee training and development activities
  • Ensure timely documentation of patient services and quality assurance file reviews
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to program development activities

Requirements:

  • Certified SUD Counselor in CA with supervisory experience preferred
  • Minimum of Bachelor's in Behavioral Science or equivalent in experience
  • Graduate-level degree preferred
  • Experience with SUD, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a positive attitude toward patients

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $66,000 - $74,245 annualized
