Job Summary

Foothill De Anza Community College District is seeking a qualified Part-Time American Sign Language Instructor to join our team. As an American Sign Language Educator, you will be responsible for teaching Elementary American Sign Language to students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in American Sign Language or a related field
  • Experience teaching American Sign Language to students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in an indoor office environment and will be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. The candidate will also be required to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.

  • Understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff
  • Ability to work with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds
