We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at Flour Bluff Independent School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, food service equipment, and laundry equipment throughout the district.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair all HVAC systems, electrically and mechanically, in the school district.
- Perform preventive maintenance schedules of all related equipment as assigned.
- Perform duct cleaning and air quality as assigned.
- Install new HVAC systems and components.
- Ensure work area is cleaned after repairs.
- Replace and/or calibrate climate controls (pneumatic, electronic, and electric) on all mechanical equipment.
- Receive and complete all work orders as assigned.
- Work with administrators, supervisors, and other support personnel.
- Maintain operation of Energy Management System.
- Assist with interviewing/hiring of new HVAC personnel.
- High School diploma or GED.
- EPA Freon Certification.
- Three years experience or Air Conditioning Certificate from trade school.
- ACE Technician Certification, optional.
- Three years experience in the HVAC field, preferred.
- Three years experience in food service, preferred.
Frequent districtwide travel, continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, heavy lifting and carrying. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, outdoors and indoors. Exposure to extreme temperatures and noise.
