Sales Manager Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing sales team in a fun and dynamic environment. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for staffing, developing, and leading a team of sales representatives who will engage with potential customers to generate leads and sell vacation packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and motivate sales associates.
  • Deliver one-on-one conversations with each sales associate on a weekly basis.
  • Develop sales associates for success in their position and future growth.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels in accordance with operating hours.
  • Manage inventory and place orders for necessary collateral, including lead slips, pitch cards, maps, and other sales materials.
  • Take over and/or enter sales for struggling associates, training them on how to handle objections and close sales.
  • Review Medallia Package Sales Surveys and respond to Customer Care Agents' requests about Sales Alerts.
  • Immediately report customer service issues to the VP, Retail Marketing / Regional Director of Marketing.
  • Meet or exceed budgetary responsibilities related to lead generation and selling OPC Tours and Vacation Packages.
  • Accurately track and process payroll, collecting and maintaining sales associates' hours on timesheets or in the Kronos time-keeping system, and submitting to HR within payroll deadlines.
  • Complete and submit new hire onboarding paperwork as required by Human Resources.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including ethics and compliance, and ensure the company-approved method of selling is being trained on and utilized.
Requirements:
  • Sales or marketing experience is required.
  • Previous management experience is preferred.
  • Sales management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the timeshare industry, OPC marketing, or telemarketing sales is helpful.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
