About the Role

We are seeking an intuitive and multidisciplinary power electronics engineer intern to participate in developing different power converter platforms used in SPAN products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, prototyping, bring up, and troubleshooting of PCBA.
  • Power converters tests and test setups automation in collaboration with other team members.
  • Support the development and research in different fields, such as semiconductors and magnetics test and validation, EMC, Controls, and firmware for power converters.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and controls engineering teams to implement technologies that electrify the home and delight our customers.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or equivalent fields.
  • Experience with first principles analysis of physical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in Lab Testing environments with actual hardware prototypes or components.
  • Experience with Altium Designer.
  • Experience with soldering re-work.
  • Experience with power electronics.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with Simulink, PLECS, or SPICE (e.g., LTspice) applied to electronics, semiconductor, and magnetic design.
  • Experience using Python, C++, or C.
  • Experience with Typhoon HIL.
  • Experience working with Grid and High Voltage Simulators.
