Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant functions under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist responsible for a specific client's care. This role assumes responsibility and accountability for providing physical therapy treatment procedures, case management, and carries out discharge plans as specified by the treatment plan established by a Physical Therapist and in accordance with established facility/agency policies while maintaining the highest degree of quality client care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides physical therapy treatment procedures under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for case management and discharge planning.
  • Carries out treatment plans established by a Physical Therapist in accordance with facility/agency policies.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or successful completion of a Board-approved Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
  • Washington Physical Therapy Assistant License within 30 days of hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
