We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to lead our pharmacy team in Guilderland, NY. As a Pharmacist Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medication to patients pursuant to a valid prescription with the highest attention to accuracy and patient education.
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state laws, and company policies.
- Communicate with prescribers and offer counseling and assistance to patients with their health care concerns.
- Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations and MTM (Medication Therapy Management).
- Provide friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all customers.
- Supervise personnel in the daily operation of the pharmacy department and hold them accountable for complying with regulatory and company policies.
- Provide guidance and training to pharmacy interns, technicians, and pharmacy associates during the course of work and monitor performance.
- Use professional judgment in providing exemplary service within the pharmacist's scope of practice.
- Participate in business development activities in the store and community.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation at all times.
- Maintain department facilities consistent with legal and company standards.
- Complete required continuing education programs as required by state law.
- Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.
- Immunization Certification or agreement by pharmacist to complete.
- Ability to communicate effectively: verbal, written, and electronic.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to manage others.
- Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively in order to improve customer satisfaction.

- General knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must submit to DL Monitoring.
- Some overnight hotel stays required.
