About the Role

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer, Mobile to join our team. As a key member of our mobile platform team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our iOS applications using React Native.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality iOS client code solutions using React Native that meet our strategic roadmap and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines, and principles.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners/Analysts to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
  • Act as an advocate for the mobile platform through internal and external developer communities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies related to React Native mobile development and apply this knowledge to improve our mobile platform.
  • Contribute to group discussions and incorporate feedback/communication from the broader team.
  • Mentor junior to mid-level members of the team.
  • Engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines.
  • Lead the delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and Architects.
  • Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams.
  • Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions.
  • Review pull requests and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience building iOS applications.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Swift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience building iOS applications.
  • 3+ years of experience with Swift.
  • 1+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
  • 1+ years of experience with Agile practices.
