Job OverviewOBJECTIVE

The aim of this position is to design and execute a dynamic curriculum and classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and individual development. The educator will formulate lesson plans that align with established educational standards and foster meaningful connections with students, colleagues, and families. The goal is to inspire students to cultivate skills, attitudes, and knowledge that lay a solid educational groundwork, tailored to each learner's capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Instructional Duties

  • Develops and executes a teaching program that reflects the educational philosophy and objectives of the institution.
  • Creates thoughtful and effective lesson plans that optimize instructional time and enhance learning experiences.
  • Delivers content in a manner that maximizes student engagement and incorporates practical, real-world examples.
  • Analyzes student performance data to understand individual strengths and needs, maintaining thorough and accurate records.
  • Aims to elevate the academic performance of every student.
  • Employs diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and implements differentiated instruction.
  • Conducts regular assessments to gauge student learning and progress.
  • Maintains comprehensive student records.
  • Identifies students needing additional support and refers them to appropriate resources.
  • Assigns tasks, evaluates student work, and provides feedback on presentations.
  • Organizes educational field trips as necessary.
  • Prepares students for state-mandated assessments.
  • Stays informed about subject matter and pedagogical theories, sharing insights to enhance the curriculum.
  • Contributes to the ongoing development of the curriculum, including updating educational materials.
  • Assists in selecting educational resources and tools.
  • Familiarizes with supplementary services that support student learning.

Classroom Environment

  • Establishes a learning environment that is supportive and suitable for the developmental levels and interests of students.
  • Builds positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience and encouragement to foster their growth.
  • Ensures the classroom is orderly, safe, and showcases student work when appropriate.
  • Implements policies related to student behavior effectively.
  • Develops fair and reasonable classroom rules in line with institutional guidelines, maintaining discipline consistently.

Planning and Collaboration

  • Creates lesson plans that align with educational standards and goals.
  • Designs individual and group activities that meet learning objectives and cater to student needs.
  • Prepares thoroughly for assigned classes and demonstrates readiness upon request.
  • Collaborates with colleagues during curriculum planning sessions.
  • Incorporates diagnostic information from Individual Education Plans (IEPs) into lesson planning.
  • Takes necessary precautions to safeguard educational materials and resources.

Community Engagement

  • Strives to build cooperative relationships and communicates effectively with parents and guardians as needed.
  • Maintains clear and positive communication with families through various channels.
  • Works collaboratively with administration and staff.
  • Upholds confidentiality regarding student information.
  • Participates in activities that promote parent engagement.
  • Engages in extracurricular activities to foster a positive school environment and support the school community.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid teaching certification as required.
  • One to three years of successful teaching experience preferred.
  • Understanding of educational content and learning theories.
  • Commitment to the values of the institution.
  • Successful completion of background checks.
  • Effective instructional techniques and communication abilities.
  • Adherence to ethical standards in education.
  • Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the institution.

Compensation and benefits will be provided in accordance with the institution's policies. The duration of the work year and hours of employment will be established by the institution.
