Position Overview:

The Food Production Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the operational aspects of UTEC's Food Enterprises. This position involves collaboration with various teams to ensure the successful execution of meal services and community initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Food Enterprises in daily operations.
  • Contribute to the Madd Love Meals program, catering services, and community kitchen activities.
  • Engage in training and mentorship of UTEC Young Adults and staff members.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service and maintain a valid driver's license for transportation needs.
Leadership Duties:
  • Provide training to employees and Young Adults on operational standards and procedures.
  • Oversee event rentals, manage client relationships, and coordinate rental bookings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a secure working environment.
Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Team to fulfill meal orders efficiently.
  • Work alongside UTEC Young Adults to foster professional growth.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client communications.
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals and catering services.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic kitchen setting.
  • Willingness to adhere to a consistent schedule while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Strong communication and customer service capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in catering and event management is preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent is desirable.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Capability to bend, stoop, and squat as needed.
  • Potential exposure to food allergens.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
