Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Swift Transportation. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of tractors, trailers, and support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete quality preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all company-owned equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications
  • Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble heavy truck and trailer components
  • Perform tire maintenance, including repairs, failure analysis, coding, and identification
