Job Summary:

Metrowest Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Adult Psychiatric Unit as a part-time employee. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Practice: Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans. Perform various clinical tasks, such as administering medications, performing lab tests, and providing wound care.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Delegate tasks to subordinates and provide guidance and support as needed. Participate in unit-based committees and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including progress notes, medication lists, and test results. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Education and Professional Development: Stay current with nursing best practices, hospital policies, and unit-specific knowledge. Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and contribute to the professional development of the unit.

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in Massachusetts
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably in an adult unit
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
