Job Summary:
Metrowest Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Adult Psychiatric Unit as a part-time employee. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Practice: Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans. Perform all aspects of clinical practice according to standards of care, including IV therapy, EKGs, and activities of daily living.
- Leadership: Delegate tasks to subordinates to ensure efficient and effective work flow. Provide input into hiring and evaluations, and participate in the interviewing process. Resolve conflicts and ensure proper staffing patterns according to established nurse-patient ratios.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and complete documentation according to established legal and hospital guidelines. Transcribe and input physician orders accurately and in a timely manner using the nurse order entry system.
- Communication: Communicate and collaborate with all health team members, patients, and families effectively. Ensure patient care needs are met in a timely manner and follow through is initiated and/or completed.
- Education: Keep current with nursing skills, equipment, and unit-specific knowledge. Provide patient/family teaching, act as a preceptor, and assist with the professional development of the unit.
Requirements:
- Current RN license - Massachusetts
- BLS required
- Experience in Department; great interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
