Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough patient evaluations and assessments, administering suitable treatments.
  • Develops and coordinates the patient's comprehensive care plan.
  • Assists in gathering patient medical histories and offers necessary guidance.
  • Requests relevant diagnostic tests and interprets their outcomes.
  • Promotes patient education and supports therapeutic decision-making.
  • Keeps accurate records and prepares documentation for review.
  • Responds effectively to urgent medical situations.
  • Operates within the defined scope of practice.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications/Skills:

Valid Texas Registered Nurse License
Current Texas APRN-NP License
Specialty certification as mandated by the department.

Educational Background:

Master's degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner or a Master's degree in Nursing with completion of a post-master's Nurse Practitioner Certification Program.

Experience Requirements:

Preferred prior experience in a clinical setting.

Physical Demands:

May require occasional, frequent, or constant exertion to move objects.
