Position Objective

The Tax Services division is seeking a meticulous Tax Consultant to engage with clients and deliver expert tax preparation services. Key responsibilities include client interaction, gathering and assessing tax information, preparing tax returns, registering new entities, and conducting tax research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure adherence to IRS regulations and state tax obligations for clients.
  2. Evaluate and reduce tax liabilities through strategic tax planning.
  3. Examine financial documents, including income statements and balance sheets.
  4. Prepare and submit tax returns and supporting documentation for clients.
  5. Investigate tax-related issues and assist during tax audits.
  6. Engage with clients to review their tax data and address inquiries.
  7. Maintain precise records of each client's tax circumstances.
  8. Support the registration of new business processes.
  9. Perform clerical duties such as document scanning, photocopying, and correspondence.
  10. Handle confidential information with the utmost integrity and discretion.

Qualifications

  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
  2. A degree in Taxation or Accounting is mandatory.
  3. At least 1 year of experience in tax preparation, finance, or accounting within a CPA firm.
  4. Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
  5. Proficient time management skills to meet deadlines.
  6. Familiarity with MS Excel and tax/accounting software (QuickBooks and ProConnect).
