About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Development Specialist to join our team at Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas (MANA). As a key member of our Programs Department, you will play a vital role in implementing the HealthySteps model in our Primary Care practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote integrated behavioral health and evidence-based pediatric intervention within our primary care practice.
  • Conduct team-based well-child visits to monitor development, social-emotional functioning, and relational health, providing anticipatory guidance to families.
  • Coordinate medical, specialty, and community agency appointments as needed, providing referrals and tracking follow-up to help families connect with key resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community providers of health and social services, participating in community-wide early childhood learning collaboratives or work groups as appropriate.
  • Join the Programs Department team to implement the HealthySteps model, attending related trainings and working with the Programs Coordinator to ensure scheduling of your time in coordination with provider visits.
  • Provide and/or facilitate training to medical professionals and practice staff on early childhood development, early relational health, infant early childhood mental health, and trauma-informed practice.
Requirements
  • Current Arkansas Professional License in Social Work.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work.
  • Pediatric Behavioral or Developmental work experience.
  • Previous experience in Primary Care or a Healthcare Setting preferred but not required.
