POSITION SUMMARY

The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves assessing student performance, planning engaging educational activities, and motivating children to explore and learn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assess each child's learning level and progress.
2. Design and implement tailored learning experiences.
3. Inspire students to develop a love for learning.
4. Create a welcoming and organized classroom atmosphere.
5. Continuously evaluate student progress and provide feedback.
6. Support students in their academic and personal growth.
7. Align teaching strategies with school or district educational goals.
8. Ensure substitutes are well-informed for effective teaching.
9. Develop and adhere to comprehensive lesson plans.
10. Contribute to the enhancement of school and district curricula.
11. Identify and assess instructional material needs.
12. Prepare resource lists for instructional requirements.
13. Communicate relevant school policies to students.
14. Engage with parents regarding student development.
15. Supervise students in various school settings according to policy.
16. Uphold school regulations consistently.
17. Participate in professional development programs.
18. Maintain accurate records for student attendance and progress.
19. Monitor and report on student attendance and punctuality.
20. Facilitate student clubs and extracurricular activities fairly.
21. Manage and safeguard school materials and equipment.
22. Adhere to educational policies and guidelines.
23. Supervise students during transportation to and from school.
24. Attend and contribute to faculty meetings.
25. Engage in professional activities relevant to the teaching assignment.
26. Stay updated on current curriculum trends.
27. Perform additional duties as assigned.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:

Salary: Based on the Teacher Salary Schedule, commensurate with education and experience.
Contract Duration: 190 days per academic year.

BENEFITS: Eligible for comprehensive benefits.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION: Job performance will be assessed in accordance with the Board's evaluation policies for professional staff.
