Per Diem Respite Caregiver

This is a per diem position with a flexible schedule, offering 2-16 hours of work per week, depending on the case load. As a Respite Provider, you will provide relief from caregiving responsibilities for families by engaging children in fun recreational activities that support their interests and abilities.
Respite services typically occur after school hours, including evenings and weekends. Your goal will be to provide services that families can replicate, regardless of their socioeconomic background.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one care to youth
- Encourage children's participation through interactive activities
- Discuss the child's day with parents and complete notes at the end of the shift
- Maintain communication with parents and the Respite Coordinator
- Complete documentation and service notes in a timely manner
- Report to the Respite Coordinator and seek consultation when necessary
- Attend required supervision, training, and in-service meetings
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience working with children, preferably those with special needs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, supporting children between hours a week after school and/or on weekends
- Comfortable providing home visits in various locations throughout Rutland County and driving clients
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and personal automobile liability insurance coverage
