Position Overview
In this role, you will oversee the erection and construction phases, as well as the pre-commissioning and commissioning of water treatment facilities. A supportive function during operational phases and warranty processes will be necessary on a case-by-case basis.

Compensation Range:
$70,000 - $75,000

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the commissioning of water treatment facilities by verifying that process equipment and control systems meet specified performance criteria.
  • Act as a liaison between design engineering and construction teams during the establishment of water treatment facilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to client representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer locations.
  • Oversee the activities of external vendors and suppliers, ensuring that services and materials align with project specifications and performance standards.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and documentation to monitor and record equipment performance.
  • Create and implement commissioning schedules and performance plans.
  • Design and conduct both classroom and practical training sessions on the operation and maintenance of process equipment.
  • Participate in Model Reviews, Engineering Design Meetings, and Safety in Design reviews to ensure the accessibility, maintenance, and operation of process equipment.
  • Conduct factory acceptance tests for control systems alongside clients and their designated representatives.
  • Provide after-market services, including site inspections, equipment evaluations, and operator training.
  • Maintain a strong safety focus to ensure that all work performed adheres to Veolia's safety standards.
  • Prepare precise and timely technical reports for customer documentation and future reference.
  • Apply mathematical operations to tasks such as water treatment chemistry calculations, reliability assessments, budget analysis, and monitoring Time & Material (T&M) contract costs.
  • Address alignment issues and pump adjustment requirements, utilizing plane geometry and chemistry formulas.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to enhance operations and assess design feasibility.
  • Execute specific PLC/HMI tasks, including Control System IO Checkout, system networking, program uploads/downloads, understanding ladder logic, function blocks, troubleshooting code, and writing simple logic.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the water treatment sector.
  • A strong emphasis on customer relationship management, balancing the needs of both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn about equipment and process startup related to Veolia North America's products and systems, including but not limited to RO/ED, UF/MBR, Ion Exchange, and Thermal technologies.
