Job Summary

Entergy is seeking a skilled Relay Technician to join our team. As a Relay Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical relay systems in our substations and transmission lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and test electrical relay systems to ensure proper operation and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating relay components, to prevent equipment failure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical relay systems to identify and correct faults.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of relay systems with other electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement procedures for testing and maintaining relay systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in electrical or computer technology preferred.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience in electrical relay maintenance or a related field; 2-4 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions

As a Relay Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces, and may be exposed to electrical hazards. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
