Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire parts sales process from initiation to completion
  • Update customers regarding the status of their parts
  • Engage with customers and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner
  • Interpret and utilize the parts catalog effectively for parts identification
  • Handle incoming calls, providing pricing information and other relevant details
  • Review estimates from the body shop to ensure accuracy in parts ordering and pricing
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers
  • Retrieve and fulfill orders from inventory
  • Conduct weekly inventory checks to maintain stock accuracy
  • Alert the parts manager about out-of-stock items or urgent shop materials
  • Source out-of-stock parts from external suppliers and place emergency orders as needed
  • Ensure all internal parts requests are billed appropriately on service repair orders
  • Process payments from retail customers or secure credit authorizations
  • Prepare orders for daily shipping, delivery, or customer pick-up
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in auto parts sales is preferred
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Capable of reading and interpreting safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Proficient in performing calculations related to discounts, commissions, and other financial figures
