Job Summary

OnScent is seeking a skilled Fragrance Production Compounder to join our team at our Norwood, New Jersey location.

We are an international manufacturer of fragrance and natural cosmetic solutions, utilizing world-class natural, organic, and sustainable materials for the fragrance, cosmetic, and personal care industries.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to accurately measure and mix raw material ingredients in accordance with formula and instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Safety and Quality: Review all safety rules and use personal protective equipment as directed.
  • Retrieve and Prepare Ingredients: Retrieve ingredients as indicated on the formula, ensuring only QC-approved ingredients are used.
  • Compound Fragrance Materials: Compound fragrance material from orders retrieved from the Batchmetrics system, ensuring accurately weighing and measuring of material.
  • Operate Equipment Safely: Identify and melt solids with designated melting chemicals, using hot plates, and ensuring that materials are not overheated.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Stock supplies and label containers of raw materials when needed, use equipment that is in proper working condition, and clean equipment.
  • Participate in Daily Cleaning: Keep tanks/pots covered and off the floor at all times, keep workstations clean at all times, and participate in cleaning the production area after shift daily.
  • Communicate Effectively: Notify production lead of missing raw materials needed to complete batch and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate via written form and verbally with colleagues.
  • Education: HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Chemical Knowledge: Excellent understanding of working with chemicals.
  • Safety Focus: Demonstrated safety focus and understanding of all requirements and safe work practices and policies.
  • Team Player: Absolutely Team focused and ability to work well with others.
