Fragrance Formulator

OnScent is seeking a skilled Fragrance Compounder to join our Sample Lab and Production team at our Norwood, New Jersey location.

We are an international manufacturer of fragrance and natural cosmetic solutions with a commitment to world-class natural, organic, and sustainable materials for the fragrance, cosmetic, and personal care industries.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. They will be responsible for accurately measuring and mixing raw material ingredients in accordance with formula and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  
• Retrieve and verify the quality of ingredients before use.
  
• Compound fragrance materials from orders, ensuring accurate weighing and measuring.
  
• Identify and melt solids using designated chemicals and equipment.
  
• Stock and label raw materials as needed.
  
• Maintain equipment and workstations in a clean and organized state.
  
• Participate in daily cleaning and waste management.
  
• Notify production lead of missing raw materials.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
  
• Excellent understanding of working with chemicals and/or in a lab environment.
  
• Demonstrated safety focus and understanding of all requirements and safe work practices and policies.
  
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
