Position Summary:

The Senior Project Manager will oversee all phases of designated projects, from preconstruction to final closeout. This role encompasses critical preconstruction activities such as constructability assessments, value engineering, budgeting, contract negotiations, and schedule management. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will lead construction activities, ensuring effective staff management, client relations, project setup, risk mitigation, and compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the estimating and budgeting processes, conduct constructability reviews, and manage the value engineering initiatives.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure comprehensive understanding and enforcement of all contractual documents.
  • Contractual Agreements: Prepare and coordinate detailed scope descriptions to ensure clarity and timeliness.
  • Safety Oversight: Maintain a safe project site, implementing the Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial reporting, including budgets, contracts, invoices, and change orders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Manage the Quality Management Manual (QMM) to uphold project quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to create and maintain accurate project schedules.
  • Document Control: Ensure adherence to all document control procedures.
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing financial, project, and schedule statuses.
  • Oversee project closeout processes, including final submissions and payments.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in general contracting, managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience with DSA oversight is essential.
  • Proven track record managing projects valued between $50M and $70M.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster relationships with team members, industry partners, and clients.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), P6 Scheduling, and BIM.
  • Strong negotiation skills with industry stakeholders.
