Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic and imaging equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and maintain a high level of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Position patients, adjust equipment, secure, immobilize, and support devices as needed to perform procedures.
  • Determine appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition to obtain quality films.
  • Operate advanced and sophisticated radiographic and imaging equipment, including DEXA scan, mammography, and CT scans.
  • Assist radiologists with modalities and specialty procedures requiring additional experience and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.
  • Perform clerical duties, including maintaining patient records, answering phones, and scheduling examinations.
  • Coordinate quality control tasks, including checking film quality and labeling radiographic films.
  • Provide instruction and orientation to technologists and new technologists.
  • Participate in problem-solving issues addressing patients, department operations, quality assurance procedures, interdepartmental relationships, and employee morale.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a General Radiographer.
  • Knowledge of HIS system and basic knowledge of RIS system.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers from all levels.
  • IDNS accreditation in medical radiation technology and CPR certification.

Working Conditions:

The Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment when necessary.
