Job Summary

College of the Canyons is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Noncredit Business Instructor to join our team. As a Noncredit Business Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop curriculum for Noncredit Business courses
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to improve student success and retention
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and technologies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • Two years of occupational experience in Business or related field
  • Ability to teach and communicate effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business or related field
  • Teaching experience in a community college or higher education setting
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design
