Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Grand Island, NE. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Speech Services: Create and implement speech services that are developmentally appropriate, following frameworks of student IEPs, state curriculum, or common core standards.
  • Provide Direct Therapy: Provide direct individual and/or group therapy to students, administering speech and language evaluations as needed.
  • Attend IEP Meetings: Attend Individual Education Plan meetings to discuss student progress and develop goals.
  • Conduct Annual Review Meetings: Conduct and chair annual review meetings for students who receive speech/language services.
  • Consult with Teachers and Staff: Provide inter-disciplinary programming by consulting with teachers and other therapeutic staff to implement goals of all students.
  • Collect and Analyze Data: Collect, analyze, and maintain data on all students within the classroom.
  • Plan Daily Work Schedule: Plan daily work schedule to meet the requirements for direct service minutes, and utilize indirect time in accordance with District guidelines.
  • Foster Parent Contact: Facilitate ongoing parent contact and encourage family involvement.
  • Propose Interventions and Supports: Depending on student disabilities, SLPs may need to propose interventions or supports that fall outside the realm of instruction, such as feeding, or AAC use.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Nebraska SLP License or SLP Certification from the Department of Education
