Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planner to join our KY/TN/AR area transportation business group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting technical excellence in transportation planning and traffic engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex planning and traffic engineering tasks, exercising sound engineering judgment and preparing traffic analysis reports.
  • Make decisions on design and engineering procedures as needed.
  • Function as a technical specialist on projects, including transportation planning and traffic analysis.
  • Mentor and lead young professionals and technicians as needed.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Prepare clear and accurate technical reports, presentations, and other documents from start to finish.
  • Successfully lead teams in the delivery of projects.
  • Successfully foster client relationships and support the pursuit of transportation planning and traffic project work.
  • Ability to understand and drive marketing/pursuit needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • 8 years of experience in transportation planning and traffic analysis.
  • AICP or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience with operational analysis (HCS, Synchro, Vistro, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience with Highway/roadway safety analyses (including HSM, ISATe, IHSDM, etc.) preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
