About the Role

We are seeking an Early Career Roadway CADD Technician to join our Transportation Team in Lexington, KY. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in projects that shape the future of our communities and expand our skylines.

Your Impact

You will perform design tasks and create drawings using computer-aided design (CADD) related to the development of transportation projects in Microstation OpenRoads Designer. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing high-quality technical and professional deliverables
  • Making required changes, additions, and/or revisions to existing CADD drawings
  • Analyzing incoming data and determining solutions with minimal guidance
  • Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining appropriate solutions
  • Coordinating on projects with other disciplines
  • Providing ongoing project/task updates regarding progress to keep others informed of current status and outstanding issues

You will adhere to WSP USA quality Assurance Policies/Procedures, CADD protocol, as well as client standards and requirements.

Who You Are

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with:

  • A High School Diploma or Technical School Certificate in Drafting/Design or Engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant post-education experience in the discipline with prior drafting and design support experience
  • Experience in technical civil engineering and associated disciplines
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct

Preferred qualifications include experience in OpenRoads Designer and working with KYTC or other agencies.
