We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Operations and Support Engineer to join our team at MyCareersFuture. As a key member of our IT security team, you will be responsible for maintaining the security infrastructure components, managing problem resolution, and working with OEMs to ensure our customer infrastructure remains secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor the IT security infrastructure components, including firewalls, servers, intrusion prevention/detection systems, end-point protection systems, VMware systems, SIEM, and PAM.
  • Manage the problem resolution process and troubleshoot technical issues using various diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate with OEMs to ensure our customer infrastructure remains secure and up-to-date.
  • Perform patching processes and ensure the security components are up-to-date, including monitoring, evaluating, testing, and applying critical patches to operating systems, applications, firmware, and network switches.
  • Stay technically proficient in networking technologies and perform hardening, vulnerability assessments, and findings resolution.
  • Be prepared to work on a 24x7 standby basis (rare activation).

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Security, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows and Red Hat Linux OS.
  • Good working knowledge of virtualization, end-point security, and network security.
  • Basic knowledge of Nessus scan, PAM, and SIEM is preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent with little supervision.
  • Relevant work experience in servers and network management and maintenance.
  • Certification in Cybersecurity or networking is an advantage.
