Key Responsibilities- Provide compassionate support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential environment.
- Engage with families, interdisciplinary teams, day programs, and other service providers.
- Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Prepare meals according to established menus, considering individual preferences and dietary requirements.
- Support the development of daily living skills by addressing social, environmental, and healthcare needs.
- Facilitate transportation and mobility training for individuals attending appointments and community programs.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Ensure adherence to program requirements and relevant regulations.
- A genuine passion for assisting individuals with daily activities, including attending appointments and providing companionship.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals receiving services.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Experience in a residential setting supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Experience working with individuals who may be medically fragile or have physical limitations.
