The Rehabilitation Technician is a vital member of the UofL Health team, working under the direction of licensed therapists to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Patient Care: Administer components of interventions, including therapeutic exercise, activity, gait training, and activities of daily living, under the guidance of licensed therapists.
- Departmental Organization and Upkeep: Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Clerical Support: Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and scheduling, to support the smooth operation of the department.
- Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicate patient status changes to supervising therapists and assistants, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Supply Management: Monitor and maintain departmental supply levels, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing waste.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by supervising staff, contributing to the overall success of the team.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Experience: Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred.
