Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at El Monte Sagrado. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard, working collaboratively with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Cook menu items to a high standard, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Work under the direction of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient service and high-quality food.
Requirements
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification required.
  • Ability to work on your feet in a humid kitchen environment for eight hours or more.
  • Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds frequently.
  • Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
  • 6 months to 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience; high volume and/or fine dining cook experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.

Compensation
