HRIS Analyst I Job Description

At Sierra Nevada Corporation, we are leveraging cutting-edge Workday technology to streamline and automate our HR processes. We're seeking a proactive and innovative individual to join our HRIS team and help us drive this transformation

This is a highly collaborative role responsible for Tier 1 support and is an entry-level position on our HRIS team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day HRIS activities, including managing tickets, HR systems administration, accurate and timely data processing, auditing, reporting, and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support employee-related inquiries assigned to the HRIS team via the ticketing system (ServiceNow) and monitor resolution/escalation processes to ensure all tickets are addressed according to SLAs.
  • Administer and maintain the HRIS platform (Workday) to ensure data accuracy and system efficiency. Provide Tier 1 support to end-users on issues and application functionality, and assist with employee data entry and system maintenance tasks as required.
  • Perform routine HRIS updates and maintenance tasks, perform mass uploads, and assist the HRIS team with other recurring processes (open enrollment, merit, step progressions, performance reviews).
  • Generate HR data reports on schedule or ad hoc. Create deliverables using data visualization to present data in an engaging way with meaningful insights that can be used for decision-making.
  • Assist with HR system testing and release cycles adopting new functionality.
  • Create documentation of processes and assist with training end-users.
  • Support HR activities and projects as assigned.
  • Recommend changes and enhancements to business processes and create audits to ensure data integrity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in IT, Information Systems, or a related field of study and typically 0-2 years of related work experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in a business environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with HR systems and data entry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office Products.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Workday HCM.
  • Experience in an HRIS or HR analyst role.
  • Experience in Human Resources, with a general understanding of HR practices and policies.

Estimated Starting Salary: $62,660.05 - $86,157.57
