Job Summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a skilled Electrician to perform lead electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for our customers. The successful candidate will have the ability to independently assess job needs based on schematics or blueprints and carry out assignments based on written and oral instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and service electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Source or fabricate replacement electrical components, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Interpret blueprints and carry out work accordingly, with knowledge of the NEC.
  • Guide and oversee other electricians as necessary, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Obtain required equipment, tools, and materials for projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Provide assistance during emergencies, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Update project records and prepare relevant documents and reports, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED; Associate degree in an Electrical or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years in commercial electrical work, with experience in the telecommunications industry a plus.
  • Journeyman Electrician License is preferred, demonstrating a high level of expertise and commitment to the trade.

Work Conditions
  • The technician may be required to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, and high humidity.
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts, requiring attention to safety protocols.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting and carrying heavy objects, up to 75lbs, will be required, necessitating physical stamina.
  • Ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, stairs, ramps, and the like using feet/legs and/or hands/arms, requiring agility and balance.
  • Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s), necessitating manual dexterity.
  • Pushing/pulling may involve use of hands/arms, feet/legs, and/or feet only done with one side of the body or both sides, requiring strength and coordination.
  • Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet to enter restricted spaces, necessitating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Occasionally, using one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipment, requiring attention to safety protocols.
  • Clarity of vision and color vision are both required, including use of computers, necessitating visual acuity.
  • Sitting/Driving for long periods is frequently required, necessitating endurance and focus.
