Job Title: Low Voltage Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Low Voltage Estimator to join our team at Synergis. As a Low Voltage Estimator, you will be responsible for creating accurate estimates for low voltage electrical projects, working closely with our clients to understand their needs and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate estimates for low voltage electrical projects
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their project requirements and provide expert advice
  • Ensure that all estimates are thoroughly reviewed and validated to ensure accuracy
  • Participate in the preparation of schedules for estimating requests and discuss staffing requirements
  • Prepare preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction estimates
  • Participate in pre-construction, design development to detect over-runs and potential problem areas
  • Participate in value engineering process
  • Support Business Development
  • Maintain all current estimating records, studies and unit pricing
  • Assist Project Managers in evaluating and analyzing subcontractor proposals
  • Resolving issues related to the project
  • Prepare sub-contractor agreements
  • Assist other estimators and project managers where any assistance is needed.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical low voltage estimating or equivalent experience as a low voltage installation technician
  • Experience with fiberoptics, copper cabling, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, security, fire alarm systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to create functional design drawings as well as cable riser diagrams and all architectural drawings
  • Convert staff / customer data and information into pricing and scope of work estimates using:
  • Q360
  • Experience estimating for:
  • Commercial buildings
  • Data centers
  • Hospitals
  • Previous experience installing and/or maintaining low voltage cabling (Fiber and twisted pair - mainly Ethernet - and coax)
  • Knowledge of one or more of the below:
  • Security Systems (Crime Prevention Systems)
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • Smart Devices
  • Digital Displays
  • Previous experience working with an Audio-Visual services provider
  • Understanding of access control / IP Camera Security systems.
  • Superior client relationship management is a requirement for this position (i.e. exhibiting the ability to create an atmosphere of tension relief during high stress encounters)
  • Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video and networking equipment
Preferred:
  • Experience with Bluebeam highly desired
Other:
  • 5 Days a week onsite at client headquarters in Gainesville, GA
  • Demonstrate a legal ability to work within the United States via I9 verification. Ability to work for any US based company without sponsorship now or anytime in the future
