Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Trailer Technician to join our team. As a Mobile Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing our customers' Heavy Duty Diesel Trucks and Tractor Trailers. You will provide quality customer service, inspect and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components, and perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair Heavy Duty Diesel Trucks and Tractor Trailers
  • Provide quality customer service
  • Inspect and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
  • Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle engines and clean fuel tanks
  • Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required
  • Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts, including tires
  • Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
  • Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements
  • Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management
  • Respond to client queries and interact with customers in person or via phone
Requirements
  • 1+ year Trailer Mechanic experience or related field preferred
  • Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks
  • Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders
  • Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing
  • Ability to work in a team environment while following shop safety procedures
  • Knowledge in ABS, brakes, diagnostics, electronics, lights, hydraulics, suspensions
  • Provide own tools
