Key Responsibilities:

Program Development:

Oversee the design and implementation of program services at RVM, ensuring optimal management of existing programs while innovating new initiatives. This includes coordinating with consultants and managing contracts for program development and training.

Administrative Leadership:

Lead the overall administration of RVM with support from staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily office operations.
  • Recruiting, hiring, and supervising staff, including compensation adjustments within budget constraints.
  • Planning, directing, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Engaging in community events and Board meetings.
  • Representing RVM publicly.
  • Preparing and presenting budgets to the Board, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
  • Collaborating with the Finance Committee to manage all financial aspects of RVM.

Managerial Duties:

Hire and manage external consultants and professional services while fostering constructive relationships with businesses, educational institutions, and the broader community.

Fundraising Initiatives:

Lead fundraising efforts directly or through staff and Board assistance, which may include:

  • Engaging a contract grant writer.
  • Working with the Resource Development Committee.
  • Overseeing grant proposals to various entities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Managing post-grant approval reporting.
  • Soliciting sponsorship for events.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Skills in budget planning and development.
  • Expertise in managing an organization’s financial affairs.
  • Knowledge of fundraising and grant proposal processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and public speaking abilities.
