Position Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is in search of an Environmental Consultant with 1-3 years of relevant experience to support the planning and execution of site remediation initiatives. This role involves taking responsible charge of field data collection and sampling, data interpretation, conducting geophysical surveys, and preparing detailed technical reports. You will collaborate with a team of environmental experts, including Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs), professional engineers, geologists, and asbestos inspectors. The position offers flexibility with a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental due diligence and site assessments, including soil and groundwater investigations and geophysical surveying.
  • Oversee remediation efforts and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
  • Engage in daily activities such as site reconnaissance, supervision of soil boring explorations, and collection of environmental samples.
  • Manage laboratory data and report preparation, ensuring a balanced approach between fieldwork and office tasks (40% - 60% based on project requirements).

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of experience in environmental or geological consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Environmental/Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • Geologist-In-Training Certification is a plus.
  • OSHA 40 HAZWOPER training with annual refreshers is required.
  • Familiarity with site remediation regulations and guidance documents in the relevant states.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel, including occasional long-distance trips.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English for effective communication.
