Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Clinician

Job Summary:

The City of Henderson is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, you will provide crisis intervention and de-escalation, assessment, and clinical intervention in the field. You will also coordinate and manage cases, develop safety plans, and act as a secondary link to support and resources for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services in the field
  • Assess and develop safety plans for individuals in crisis
  • Coordinate and manage cases, including referrals to community resources and services
  • Act as a secondary link to support and resources for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis
  • Provide outreach, referrals, and follow-ups for community members affected by behavioral health issues

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in counseling, psychology, or social work
  • Two years of experience in social work, crisis intervention, and/or mental health counseling
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure
  • Valid Nevada or border state driver's license

Working Conditions:

This position requires working independently in the field at varying locations throughout the City of Henderson. The incumbent will be exposed to varying weather conditions and outdoor environments, including excessive heat and cold, and will be walking and working on slippery and uneven surfaces. Travel between locations will be necessary via City motor vehicle.
