Job Summary:

GDIT is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to support the SACSS program in Chula Vista, California. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, and testing various types of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices on board Naval Vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to put equipment in operational condition and solve moderately complex problems.
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment.
  • Modify circuitry to improve performance.
  • Make recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems.
  • May provide operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Participate in special projects, as required.
Requirements:
  • US Citizen
  • HS/GED
  • 10+ years of experience

Additional Information:

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $46.75. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Work Environment:
Onsite position, no relocation assistance provided.
