Coatings Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Anodize Specialist to join our team at Apogee Enterprises. In this role, you will be responsible for operating an overhead crane to move beams of material, performing routine checks for quality standards, and organizing material as it travels to various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead cranes to move materials between processes.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure materials meet standards.
• Organize and coordinate the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Use hand tools and machinery to maintain tanks and perform chemical additions.
• Monitor tank temperatures, coating thickness, and chemistry levels.
• Ensure proper draining and cleaning of tanks.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize process efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 0-1 year of experience in a related field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Work in a team environment and be willing to rotate to other positions as needed.
