POSITION SUMMARY

The Anodize Specialist works as part of the Anodize Team in each of the following capacities:

  • Operate an overhead crane to move beams of material from one process to another.
  • Perform routine checks of materials for conformance to quality standards.
  • Organize material as it travels to various departments.
POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Comply with safety, quality, and productivity requirements and procedures.
  • Regular/dependable attendance required.
  • Flexibility of work hours including overtime.
  • Use of hand tools and machinery is required to maintain equipment and buildings.
  • Must be able to work well with little of no supervision.
  • Sort, load, and unload material.
  • Perform all necessary inspections and document.
  • Coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies.
  • Review die prints as required.
  • Use scanners and barcoding devices as required.
  • Add necessary chemicals to tanks.
  • Maintain specified tank temperatures, determine finish, and check coating thickness.
  • Ensure proper draining of racks is performed to protect tank chemistry.
  • Keep tanks full of material and running at all times for maximum efficiency.
  • Demonstrate personal leadership within area of responsibility.
  • Sort, load, and unload material.
  • Participates in WWS's continuous improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; 0-1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to rotate to other positions as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock, vibration, and seasonal high/low temperatures and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety regulations including wearing appropriate PPE when on the production floor

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, talk, hear and move about the facility. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and grip 60 pounds. The employee must occasionally push up to 49 pounds and pull up to 118 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
