**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Participate in experimental ground/flight testing as the Pilot-in-Command and remote operator with a crew possessing diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and human factors teams on the development and evaluation of the Pilot-in-Command and Ground Control Station interface.
  • Support the Certification Team with Flight Test Plans/Certification Reports and evaluate FAA Automation guidance to develop unique certification requirements under Part 23.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of safety pilot and remote operator training programs.
  • Develop/update flight manuals, checklists, and procedures.
  • Support test planning, hazard analysis, and mitigation, and test reporting.
  • Evaluate planned test maneuvers and conditions for safety and feasibility.
  • Coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration, Air Traffic Control, and Airport Operations.
  • Participate in the flight release process for software and hardware modifications.
  • Participate in briefings and debriefings for technical and operational exchanges of information in a group setting.
  • Interface with maintainers, engineers, management, customers, and investors.
  • Flight Test requires in-person work, flexible work hours, and the potential to travel to support occasional domestic deployments.

**Required Qualifications:**

  • FAA Commercial Pilot License and Instrument Rating.
  • Current FAA Class II Medical.
  • A minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time.
  • A minimum of 1,000 hours pilot-in-command flight time.
  • A minimum of 250 hours turbine flight time.
  • Demonstrated experience with experimental flight test methods and safety culture.
  • Demonstrated application of Crew Resource Management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with Human Factors Design and Evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience with Part 23/25 Certification.
  • Communication and teamwork skills.
  • BS in a related engineering field, can be substituted with significant developmental flight test experience for otherwise highly qualified candidates.

**Desirable Qualifications:**

  • Graduate of an SETP recognized test pilot school.
  • Previous experience operating remotely piloted/controlled aircraft.
  • FAA ATP License & CFII.
  • Cessna 208 PIC time.
