They will also be responsible for reporting, monitoring, and tracking quality processes across the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a quality plan to ensure compliance with global quality requirements.
  2. Supervise the day-to-day activities of the QC/QA staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  3. Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, executed, and evaluated on an ongoing basis.
  4. Establish and maintain documented procedures for quality systems.
  5. Maintain the company's quality inspection and product release programs.
  6. Assess product specifications and compare them with customer requirements.
  7. Ensure safety protocols are followed.
  8. Work with purchasing staff to set quality metrics and requirements from external suppliers.
  9. Meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and purchasing staff to review quality issues.
  10. Prepare for and represent the company during audits.
  11. Coordinate and approve sample submissions of new products and engineering changes.
  12. Prepare reports to support internal and external customers/suppliers.
  13. Identify areas of improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles.

Requirements:

  • Associate or B.A. in an applied science or engineering field.
  • 3-5 years prior experience in QA/QC for a consumer or OEM product manufacturer.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • ASQ certifications a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Contract Manufacturers, Suppliers, and Distributors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and reading and interpreting product blueprints.
