Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Machinist I Specialist to join our team at Power Systems Mfg., LLC in Jupiter, FL.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual and CNC machining centers to perform precision machining operations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual and CNC machining centers to machine parts to specifications.
• Setup, adjust, and operate all manual and CNC machining centers.
• Measure and visually inspect completed components to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Set up holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Monitor speed and feed rates during the machining process to complete machining efficiently and within tolerances.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• CNC programming certification / documented training is strongly preferred.
• Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training Matrix.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in industry with specific skills related to manual and CNC machining of multi-axis machines.
• Familiar with Fanuc Controls and has programming experience with multi-axis CNC equipment.
• Working knowledge of GD&T is required.
• Experience in computer skills to include Xcel, Word, and email platforms.

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

• Stooping/Crouching: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
• Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
• Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
• Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work area to another.
• Possibly lifting up to 50 lbs: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
• Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
