About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Republic Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment at our recycling facilities, landfills, and transfer stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials and take corrective action as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Complete equipment condition reports and other documentation as required.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Two years of prior experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
